   Last year I had a wonderful time spending Thanksgiving at Disney World with friends, but the crowds were pretty much as busy as I had ever experienced at Disney.

   My friends took full advantage of early access to the parks since they were staying in a Disney hotel and we quickly learned to Fastpass the busiest rides in each park first (Soarin, Toy Story Mania). We also made reservations at the various restaurants months earlier... I don't think we would have eaten much otherwise!

   Do you have any tips or tactics for dealing with the holiday crowds?

   I must say, that I try to avoid going to Disney during the big holidays. We prefer to come visit when the crowds are a bit less intense, although, with a freshman in high school, we are limited to school vacation time, so we usually visit as soon as school lets out, just after the middle of June. This year, though, our visit was right before school started, which was very nice, since many schools had already started.

   But, things to keep in mind when you are visiting during the holidays - make sure you have patience. Remember, you are all in the same line! And, since it is the holidays, have the holiday spirit and enjoy the Disney magic, which is just more magical when Santa is involved! :)
